Let's Go To A Parade- a poem
In Honor Of The Annual Thanksgiving Parade
On Thanksgiving Day
In Manhattan, New York City
Thousands bundle up their kids
To see excitement flowing
Their faces are glowing
For what this day will ensue.
The drums are a beating
With cheerleaders bleating
The sound of joy in the air.
Let's Look up in the sky
A new surprise.
Bigger than life
Greater than grand
Our favorite characters fly
To each riveting band.
And on the ground
We can hear and see
A famous entertainer that
Has taken the time To fill us with glee.
From coast to coast
In the Big USA
Everyone is cheering on
The excitement of
Thanksgiving Day.
Thank Mr. Macy
A retail marketer's day
To be geared up for Christmas,
Who motivates the child
In everyone's heart.
This Parade
Inspires shoppers
To get a good start.
Enjoy the Parade
And all of its
Floats.
Before your stomachs are
Stuffed with Turkey
Drenched with gravy from boats!
