The Best Of Friends- a Ten Year Anniversary

I dedicate this hub to my dear friend, Veronica. She has always given me the Right Word, at the Right Time, for the Right Purpose, for the Right Way.

The First Sunday of May, 2011, I celebrate a very special anniversary. It is the tenth anniversary of having a very special friend. In 2001, I decided to do what I believed was in God's Plans. I met a young man who had fallen hopelessly in a relationship with me. I was so excited, thinking that he may be eventually my future spouse. I had no idea that this young man was a liar, a thief, a crack addict and a bipolar personality. He was of course very talented and good looking. He knew a lot of people. The one person he knew was a woman who I have been calling "my best friend" for the last ten years.

Within one week of this young man entering my life, even moving in with me because we couldn't bear being without each other, he stole my car and for several days, left me frantic and in need of someone who could help me to cope with his erratic behavior. He wrote down the phone number and name of an evangelist that he had met in the most recent year, and when I called her, she was a good listener, and knew all the right words to say. She understood who I was talking about, and she was able to guide and direct me to reading the right Scripture that offered immediate comfort, and was able to pray with me in times of need and did not hesitate to lead me to her Ministry, which has been my ministry too, for the last ten years. Even when I tried to leave and go to other churches, to no avail, I would keep coming back. This wonderful evangelist even invited me to visit the Bible College, and then I liked it so much that I would come once a week. Before I knew it, I eventually was enrolled as a full time student, and then, received my Associate Arts degree in Theology and the following Year, I gained my Bachelor's degree in Theology. And there this beautiful friend of mine was, sitting right next to me in class, taking notes, and tests with me and she, too, got her Bachelor's degree.

This wonderful friend of mine, has seen me through good times and difficult times. She has stayed faithful, and never has given up on being my friend. She has seen me through the divorce of the father of my two children; she has seen my children through elementary school, middle school, high school, and now, college. She has seen me marry a disabled man in a wheelchair, and then within a year, leave him and then witnessed my divorce of him because he was physically and emotionally abusive; and this very dear friend of mine has seen me get married to a wonderful prophetic minister in our ministry and been there for me through those five years when I needed someone to talk to.

What have I done for her? Besides being her "chauffer" to most all our ministry events, I have become a good friend to her wonderful grandchildren, and I have always been a good listener and a good friend. I am just who I am, true-blue and loyal and never judgemental. I have been a steadfast student to hear her share the Word of God, and I pray for her and thank God for her everyday. And when I joined these Hub Pages, and shared her the great things about it, she decided to join. Even though she doesn't write as often as I do , her words are just like her name- prosperous. As Prosperous, she desires that all who read her hubs will have faith that God is Healer and God is Powerful. So I hope you will read my friend's hubs.

Ten years- a special milestone. Thank you, My darling friend. You are what your name states you to be- PROSPEROUS.And in knowing you, I have become prosperous also.
